The Probability of a Miracle: 1000-Piece Puzzle Becoming a Complete Picture Before It Hits the Ground

What is the probability that a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle, thrown into the air from 1-meter ladder, will fit together perfectly as it falls and land on the ground, completing the puzzle in one piece? The probability must be astronomically low. However, it is not zero. What is the probability of living a life so fulfilling that you wouldn’t want to be born again, gaining the maximum possible reward from just this first life challenge?

If you were to assemble a 1000-piece puzzle piece by piece, it might eventually come together. But when pursuing a massive goal, the approach isn’t like assembling a puzzle piece by piece. Instead, it might be that the puzzle fits together by sheer coincidence, falling to the ground and becoming a completed picture the moment it lands—an astronomically low probability. If Earth civilization exists under such a miraculous probability, then to change the course of history, technology that can create similar miracles would be required.

While most people are piecing the puzzle together one piece at a time, what if only one person climbs a ladder, gathers the pieces, and drops the puzzle from a height? From the outside, they might seem like a madman.

But for someone with the rare confidence that, against all odds, the pieces will lock perfectly into place, they might indeed complete that miracle.
